If you take medication on a regular basis, you may request repeat prescriptions by using the tear-off slip on the right hand side of the computerised prescription previously issued, ticking the items you require. You may either post the slip or hand it in at the surgery. Alternatively, you may order a repeat prescription using our dedicated Prescription Order Line, 01777 805200.
You can leave a message 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Please speak clearly and leave your full name and date of birth, and ask for your medicines by name (or spell it out) as, unfortunately, we cannot process requests for medication unless we have the correct name of the drug(s).
We would like to remind all our patients that the surgery operates a strict 2-day policy for all prescriptions. Once you have ordered your medication, please allow 2 working days for the request to be processed before collection.
We cannot guarantee that your prescription will be ready before this time, and special consideration will only be given in emergency cases, so please order in plenty of time to ensure you do not run out.
Online Prescription Service
An online prescription ordering service is also available. To use it, please ask at reception for a user name and password, then you can simply log on to the website using the links below and enter your user name and password to view a list of medication you have been prescribed. You should then select the items you need and click “Request Medication”. Your prescription will then be prepared for collection from the surgery as usual.
Prescriptions will be available for collection 48 hours after receipt of your order (excluding weekends).
If you have obtained a username and password from reception, you can order repeat prescriptions via SystmOnline. Please click on the link below.
SystmOnline
(You will not be able to order repeat medication online more than 7 days before it is due).
Non-urgent advice: PLEASE NOTE:
TPP, the providers of SystmOnline, have made some changes to the prescription ordering page. To order medication online, you must now click ‘Request Medication’ TWICE; once on the order page and then again on the confirmation page that immediately follows. If you do not click ‘Request Medication’ on the confirmation page your order will NOT be made and a prescription will NOT be generated.
Thank you.
Prescription Delivery
All local pharmacies now offer prescription collection and delivery. Please contact your pharmacy for more information.
Pain Medication
IMPORTANT CHANGE
Patients who have a repeat prescription for pain-relief medication (including Paracetamol, Ibuprofen, Co-codamol, Diclofenac, Tramadol, Oramorph, Morphine, Naproxen and Co-dydramol) must order their medication themselves directly from the Surgery. Requests for pain-relief medication will no longer be accepted from Pharmacies.
